Information about the use of cookies

Cookies are small files, and local storage is a small store in your browser, saved on your device when you visit a website. They can secure basic functionality, remember a setting, or provide information about how visitors use the site.
What we use
1. Necessary technical storage
Needed for the site and its basic functions: serving pages correctly, remembering the cookie choice you make here, and keeping our own team signed in to the private desk at /desk. Without these the site would not work properly, and they cannot be switched off.
To the extent they are strictly necessary for operating the site, these do not require your consent.
2. Statistics
Used to measure visits and understand which pages are read, so we can improve the content and structure of the site. For each page view we record the page, the time, the site that sent you here, any campaign tag in the link, your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, and the country and city you are in. We also store a random identifier for the length of your visit, so several views by one person are not counted as several people.
We do not use these for marketing, personalised advertising or profiling, and nothing follows you to other websites. Your network address is used for a moment to look up the country and city, then discarded — it is never stored.
Legal ground
Necessary technical storage is used on the ground of our legitimate interest in the correct technical operation of the site.
Statistics are used on the ground of your consent, and only after you give it.
How to manage your choice
On your first visit we show a cookie bar where you can allow or decline statistics. You can change your settings or withdraw your consent at any time:
- through the cookie settings on this site (the button below, or in the footer),
- through your browser settings.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

How long they last
Your cookie choice is kept in your browser until you change it or clear your browser storage. The visit identifier lasts only for the current browsing session. Visit statistics in our database are kept for 24 months. Separately from cookies, we log sign-ins and refused attempts to our own private team area for 12 months, to keep it secure.
Third parties
Suppliers may be involved in operating the site and the services behind it:
- Lovable Labs Incorporated — hosting,
- Supabase, Inc. — database and sign-in service,
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — sign-in code emails for our own team,
- an IP-to-location lookup service — country and city of a visit,
- Google Ireland Limited — delivers the Inter typeface.
Where this involves a transfer of data outside the EU/EEA, such processing is covered by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR.
Your rights
In relation to personal data processed through cookies you have the rights set out in the GDPR, in particular access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. The full picture is in our Privacy notice.
